Vancouver Vancouver, British Columbia Play Movie
Vancouver is a coastal seaport city on the mainland of British Columbia, Canada, and the most populous city in the province. The original settlement, named Gastown, grew up on clearcuts on the west edge of the Hastings Mill logging sawmill's property, where a makeshift tavern had been set up on a plank between two stumps and the proprietor, Gassy Jack, persuaded the curious millworkers to build him a tavern, on 1 July 1867. From that first enterprise, other stores and some hotels quickly appeared along the waterfront to the west. Gastown became formally laid out as a registered townsite dubbed Granville. As part of the land and political deal whereby the area of the townsite was made the railhead of the CPR, it was renamed "Vancouver" and incorporated shortly thereafter as a city, in 1886. While forestry remains its largest industry, Vancouver is well known as an urban center surrounded by nature, making tourism its second-largest industry. Major film production studios in Vancouver and Burnaby have turned Greater Vancouver and nearby areas into one of the largest film production centers in North America, earning it the film industry nickname, Hollywood North.

Queen Elizabeth Park Queen Elizabeth Park Play Movie
Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver's horticultural jewel, is a major draw for floral display enthusiasts and view-seekers, and as a popular backdrop for wedding photos. At 152 metres above sea level, it's the highest point in Vancouver and makes for spectacular views of the park, city, and mountains on the North Shore.

The 52-hectare park is home to the stunning Bloedel Conservatory. There is also a gorgeously landscaped quarry garden, the arboretum with its collection of exotic and native trees, sculptures including one by internationally renowned artist Henry Moore, and diverse recreational offerings such as tennis, lawn bowling and pitch & putt. The park is also the perfect setting for fine dining at Seasons in the Park, a picnic or stargazing!

The cost of this optional tour of Queen Elizabeth Gardens and Granville Island is $78.97 pp.

Vancouver Notre-Dame Basilica Play Movie
Light unveils the richness of the Notre-Dame Basilica's heritage and invites us to celebrate its beauty. The experience begins with a path of lights, revealing the Basilica's wealth of exquisite works. A progressive immersion into a sonically and visually captivating universe guides visitors to the heart of Notre-Dame. Then, light, orchestral music and grandiose architecture combine to create a unique, three-act multimedia spectacle. Allow yourself to be transported by AURA and discover an unexpected, stunning universe presented upon one of the most sublime canvases imaginable: the Notre-Dame Basilica.

The cost of this optional evening event to see the Aura Light Show at Notre-Dame Basilica is $43.97 pp.
